Star Spangled Cuties!

Well I normally do not share non stampin things with you but I wanted to share some pictures from the 4th. We had a great (long) day. The older 2 had a blast with all the activities and watching fireworks. Shelby had fun just being there, she is such a happy girl!!The last picture is of course of me and my husband, we never get our picture taken (usually because I am the one taking them) but my older daughter, Taylor, took a couple shots of us! She did a great job! Hope your 4th was as wonderful! Tomorrow I will be posting classes and samples!

Have a Wonderful Day!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Happy 4th of July!! Yep the day we celebrate our Independence and Freedoms!! I redecorated the blog in honor of the Red, White & Blue! I just wanted to post these little cuties on here before we head out for a fun day! This morning the kids & I are going to watch a local parade(we love parades and this is one Taylor is not actually in for the first time this summer!!!), then the kids will check out some events in a park near the parade. Then later off to Okemos to watch fireworks (and to get some yummy Culver's frozen custard!) We sit out side their building for a great view! Anywho....................... here are some treats I made to give to friends and neighbors today! I LOVE to make these, they are called Sour Cream containers and were the 1st project I ever made! My sister hosted a Stampin Up! party a little over 5 years ago and this was the make-n-take! I was HOOKED! I filled these with chocolate of course! LOL Hope you like them!!!

Dazzling Diamond Dust Tutorial/info

Well here it goes! I loved how awesome and simple the Diamond Dust technique was! I want to share, let me know if you have questions on this! This first picture was tricky, I was trying to stamp and take the picture all at once! I am amazed I did it! LOL

1. cut cardstock and stamp with desired stamps & colors.
2. Cover the entire surface with Versamark ink pad.

3. Then take cardstock you just inked up with Versamark and cover it with Stampin Up! Heat & Stick Powder. Shake off excess powder and heat with your Stampin Up! Heat gun until it turns shinny. It will be sticky now, please be careful not to burn your fingers though, the Heat guns are very hot! At a Stampin Up regional seminar along time ago, someone shared a tip of taking a small piece of cardboard and covering it with Aluminum foil and attaching a clothes pin at the top to hold your piece of cardstock your heating so you don't burn your fingers. For this project, I used my aluminum covered cardboard but put some Dotto (temporary adhesive Stampin Up! carries) on the aluminum so it did not move off it when I heated it. I have also heard the Pampered Chef bamboo tongs work great for holding your cardstock when heating it.
4. Once you have heated the Heat and stick powder, dump dazzling Diamonds glitter over entire surface and shake off excess in Powder pal. Re-heat the piece of Cardstock with your Stampin Up! Heat gun to "melt" it all together. If you forget this step, the glitter will not stick.
5. Finally, add your sparkling piece to your finished project!
Please let me know if you have any questions on this and be sure to share your creations with me if you use this technique! I would love to see! I think this is a great technique to use on your scrapbook pages as well, becuase the glitter will stay put! I have used glitter on my pages in the past (adhering it with 2 way glue pen) and it transfers some.

Many Marvelous Marker Club
Whenever people ask me what is my favorite Stampin' Up! product, the many Marvelous Markers set (a set of 48 Stampin' Write markers in a handy portable caddy) is at the top of the list. I love the fact that the markers are dual tipped, with a writing end and a brush end -- perfect for just about any application (see Many Marvelous Markers Tips). I also love that they come in our 48 exclusive colors and match exactly. This also means that when I'm on the go, the marker caddy comes with me and don't have to bring any stamp pads if I don't want to.You can purchase the Stampin' Write markers individually for $3.25, in families of 12 for $31.95, or all 48 in the handy caddy for $132.95. I would highly recommend purchasing all of the markers together in the caddy, because it really is the easiest way to store and transport the markers, and the easiest way to find the color you need as well! However, I know that a single $132.95 purchase may not be in every stamper's budget, so I've come up with a way for you to join a club of like-minded marker lovers where you will be able to purchase the markers and coordinating card stock one color family at a time for 4 months, and one of the months you will receive not just the last color family of markers and card stock, but also the caddy and a level 1 hostess set of your choice + 2 card samples from me each month! All 4 monthly payments of $45.95 (all shipping to U.S. addresses and taxes included)! This is a fantastic value because not only are you able to purchase the caddy over time without taking a one-time hit to your stamping budget plus a free Level 1 hostess set & 2 free samples from me each month, you're also actually saving money over purchasing the markers and card stock over time by color families or individually. All we need to make this cool club work is 4 willing participants. As soon as the club is filled I'll send out an e-mail with details and once I have everyone's payment I will place the orders. All club payments will be due on the same day each month. Sorry -- this offer is limited to members with U.S. billing and shipping addresses. So come on, you know you want these and there's no better way to get everything you want without breaking your monthly bank! Contact me to join the marker club today!
