How to make the Rings from Circle of Friendship

Ok, so in the last post I confused you I am sure, so I played around last night and took some pictures of how to do it! So here we go!

Stamp your image from Circle of Friendship on your cardstock. (sorry about this picture, it was horizontal when I uploaded it but blogger keeps turning it)

Next take your 1/2 in circle punch, flip it over and then you can see where to punch. Punch out the center of the circle.

This is what you will end up with after punching out the center. You can then discard it or use it for a different circle or use it as an accent on your card/page.

Next, to make the ring, take your 1 in circle punch and punch out the remaining circle as shown below.

Here is what you end up with after punching them both out!

Here is the finished project! You can tread the ring through your ribbon or you can snip your paper ring and slide it under the ribbon after you have tied it. I do it this way, then I put a little adhesive so it doesn't move too. At the first Stampin Up national convention I went to, they showed that little tip & I thought it was the coolest thing! Works great for tags too, just punch your hole, snip in to the hole so it opens, then slip it under your ribbon knot and secure with some adhesive! Makes it so much easier and no one will ever know but you!! LOL

So don't miss out on the E-Scape Special and save 25% on the bundle!

Stampin Supplies:
Stamp set: Circle of Friendship
Cardstock: Rose Red Love Note (3x3 card), Whisper White, Soft Sky Designer series paper
Ink: Rose Red
Accessories: Whisper white ribbon, 1/2 in circle punch, 1 in circle punch

E-Scape Bundle- Circle of Friendship Set

I thought I would share some 3x3 Love Notes made with the E-Scape Bundle from Monday nights Card Club (You can join us every month if you would like to join the Club, email me for details!) This month there is the fabulous E-Scape bundle featuring this set where you can save a total of 25% buy buying it in a bundle, which is a great deal. I really like this set and have used it often. It has a lot fun possibilities! It fits perfectly in the 1 in circle punch and you can punch the center with a 1/2 circle punch and use the 1/2 in' saying from the center as an accent or even in place of an O for for a title! Once you pop the middle out with the 1/2in circle Punch you have a ring with the remainder left over. Clear as mud? LOL I thought so. I will try to take a few pics of what I am talking about and post later!

Remember:E-Scape bundle at the reduced price can only be ordered through Monday, June 30th so don't delay on this great deal! Order this kit and I will mail you the samples below for inspiration plus some other FREE goodies from me!

Scrapbooking Club Shares!

Here is another share for you! So this is one of the pages the Lovely Scrapbook Club ladies made on Sunday/Monday. They are such great ladies, I love having them come over every month! I look forward to seeing them and catching up with them!
This first page was inspired from Patty Bennett's Popsicle card! I loved it and immediately thought it would be perfect for a summer scrapbook page! Now I just have got to get some pictures on it! I do have to admit it is harder to get the camera out with Shelby being so mobile now (she is 10 months, can you believe it?!)

Stampin Supplies: Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Wild Wasabi (Incolor), Whisper White Jersey Shore Designer Paper

Accessories: Wild Wasabi Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, corner rounder punch, Scallop punch, 1 1/4 in square punch, 1 13/8 in square punch

This is the second page they made. Fun summery page! Does this one look familiar? The Glittery Card was inspired by this page! I do that alot. Usually it is the other way around, a card inspires some of my pages, like the Popsicle card!

Stampin Supplies:
Stamp Set: Sweet Shapes & Circle of friendship, Best Friends Lower Alphabet (all are retiring this catalog)
Cardstock: Tempting Turquoise, Groovy Guava, Choc chip, Whisper White

Happy Thursday! This week has flown by! Shew..... anyway I had intended to share something almost everyday with you but life happens! LOL So I will make up for it today and tomorrow! Here is one of the cards my lovely Stampers Club made on Monday night. It uses a "dazzling" technique that is stunning but so easy to do. I am going to put together a picture tutorial on how to do it in the coming days! It is a really easy thing to do with awesome results! Don't you just LOVE it?!!???!?! I used a cute set, Sweet Shapes, that soon will be retiring from the catalog. It is a two step stamping set, which is one of my favorite types of stamps! The card also uses a set called Circle of Friendship(ring around the ribbon). It is the stamp set that is featured in the E-Scape bundle this month(hurry only a couple days left to order it!) See bottom of post for Stampin Supplies!
Here is another view of it. I moved it over to the window when I took it so the morning sun could shine on it to show you how sparkly it was! I LOVE glitter!

Date Change to the Organizer & Build a Brad Braclet Class

Hello! I made a mistake when I scheduled the Class on Thursday, July 10th. I mistakenly put a local music festival on my calender for the next week and it is the same week. YIKES(Common Ground for those of you around the Lansing area). I am going see Kelly Pickler on Thursday and so are some of you (that is what made me realize it was the same night) So this might actually work better for some of you!

>>> So, the Class has been rescheduled for Wed, July 9th. The original Posting will reflect that. The RSVP/Pre-Pay by date is still this Friday, June 27th to insure supplies arrive in time with the Holiday weekend. Email me at dhelt1@juno.com with questions or to RSVP for either of the fun projects!

Any way these decor elements are so amazing. Don't just think walls, think picture frame(as in photo), mailboxes, windows, mirrors, tiles, bumbo seats, doors and so much more!

SU New Product ~ Decor Elements!

I have a very busy day today (off to get my hair cut, get some flowers to plant, and meet some friends for a girls night out!) but I want to tell you about these!

I'm so exicted to hear this great news. Stampin' Up! has just announced a new product line, called Decor Elements. This is a self-adhesive vinyl wall decor line with over 100 images, momograms, sentiments, in chocolate and white and a selection in kraft. Some of the images will coordiante with our stamp sets. This will be available for purchase starting July 1. As a demonstrator I am avialable to pre-order these now! They are amazing, as soon as I have mine and get them on my wall I will share with you!

Most exciting, these new products are made by SU in house - so this is just phase 1. This will most likely be an expanding product line. This is a great addition that will appeal to a large audience. If you want more information about becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator contact me. This is a great opportunity to be with a fabulous company that offers a wide variety of products to meet the needs of varying groups.

Also, I will be able to host a party around the Decor Elements if that is the interest of you and your friends. I'll keep you posted posted on these, but in the mean time if you would like to view the product brochure, e-mail me and I will get you one. Due to SU Policy I can not post it on here but would be happy to get you one to see for yourself how awesome they are!

Stamping on Cupcakes!

Well sort of! LOL! I made these cupcakes for Julian to take to school. His birthday is next Friday but since school ends this Friday his teacher had him celebrate it at school Monday! Let me just say I had to be creative because I forgot about it until about, oh say about 8:30 pm Sunday night! Yep, I said 8:30 PM! I had a fun, long, exhausting weekend up at Mackinaw City/Island last weekend with Taylor (my oldest) with our Brownie troop. So making cupcakes was the last thing on my mind! These cupcakes are a piece of work, let me tell you. I thankfully had a cake mix and my mom had some frosting but that is it! They looked really plain to me with out anything on them so I dyed the frosting green and stamped soccer balls out from the set Just Soccer and punched them out with my 1 3/8 in circle punch and just pushed them in the frosting a bit! Wala! He loved them when he seen them the next morning!
So the moral of my story is don't forget you can use your stamps for more than just papercrafting!
